The St. Michaels Running Festival is a highlight in Talbot County and is featured in the Northern Virginia Magazine's guide to Eastern Shore Festivals and Events. The festival offers a very flat course with plenty of water and Gatorade stations along the way, as well as energy gel at mile 6.5 for an extra boost during the run. It's an event not to be missed if you're looking for an exciting getaway on the Eastern Shore.

They said arrive AT 5am. The multiple emails were so specific about this time. Did that....they had barely started setting up. Should have slept longer. No tents or vendors or activities to occupy the 2.5 hours we waited to race. The course itself is gorgeous! A beautifil scenic run on flat land. Heads up- order shirts in larger sizes if doing 4k or 10k. Cute Brooks issued shirts but they run SO SMALL.
