\nI did this in a previous home and ~ halved the inrush. That said, might not be worth it running whole home AC with a unit this small. Most people in hurricane-prone areas will run window units when the mains is down.

\nI use Stabil Marine in all my stored gasoline, after buying a JD mower years ago and was told to always use it. It's not like it's an expensive additive so all my machines get it. That said, I store my generator with an empty tank and carb. I run it dry before storing.

\nGenerator Bible lists it as "unknown", and there's no mention of it on Generac's site which tells me it's a store-specific model. Manual [generac.com]does not mention it either.

\nGenerators don't tend to have 50A outlets until the nominal is ~>10kw. That's not a hard limit, but 50A@240V is 12kw. Generally speaking manufacturers won't put accessories on units that could exceed their capacity, for example in your house, you could use a 20A receptacle in a 15A circuit. The plug would physically fit and would function. That said, you could also be a dummy that would plug in something that actually requires 20A thinking it would be OK. \nI have a similarly sized (12k) portable generator with a 220v 50 amp cable that I use for my 3000sqft house. I can run everything in the house except for the central air conditioner, or the clothes dryer, or wall oven. I could run any one of those three but not 2 of them .
